WHY VENTILATE?
Proper ventilation is essential for any commercial working environment. Understanding the problems created by poor ventilation, temperature fluctuations and the possible solutions will help you maintain a better warehouse environment for your stock, your equipment and most importantly, your workers.

Warehouses become stuffy when not properly ventilated. Without good air circulation, humidity levels and temperatures fluctuate. This excess heat or cold is detrimental to workers and equipment. Capital equipment can, in fact, be subject to failure in high humidity areas. At over 50% relative humidity, the likelihood of water condensation on circuitry surfaces increases, resulting in damaged equipment. As well as exhausting heat and stale air, good ventilation can prevent humidity build up.
We also need to ensure toxic emissions are removed from the workplace. If toxic fumes build up, the workplace can become unhealthy and dangerous for workers. Gas forklifts for example can emit carbon-monoxide. As there is generally no smell to this emission, it goes undetected and is particularly harmful in an unventilated environment.
Properly ventilating enclosed workspaces is key to increasing productivity. This can lead to a quick and continuously sustained return on your investment.
